Krishan Lal returns after being detained in Pak jail for five years | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, August 7: Detained in Pakistan jail for about five years, a 65-year old man returned to his hometown in bordering Ranbir Singh Pura sector of this winter capital after he was released and reached here via Wagah Border in Amritsar. Identified as Krishan Lal, 65, resident of R S Pura, who had inadvertently crossed the border, was detained by the Pakistan Rangers about five years ago when he was returning via international border, official sources this morning told UNI. They said after spending five years in Kotlakhpat jail in Lahore area of Pakistan, the farmer was repatriated from Wagah border in Amritsar district after his release and he reached home last evening in R S Pura. Krishan Lal after reaching here, appealed to the Union Government to take up cases of about 35 Indians languishing in Kotlakhpat jail of Pakistan. There are about 35 Indians lodged in Kotlakhpat jail since years and the Government should take up their cases with the Pakistani Government for their release, he said while talking to reporters.
