Secretary XI Blues wins the thriller in Tickoo Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, August 07: General Secretary XI Blues clinched the thriller when they beat Chairman XI Reds by two runs in the ongoing R C Tickoo Memorial Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here today. Batting first, after winning the toss, Secretary XI set a target of 189 runs for the loss of eight wickets in given 35 overs, which, in reply, Chairman XI could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 186 runs. Imran was top scorer with 56 runs while Zahoor Sofi contributed 35 runs. From Chairman Reds, Niten Mehta scalped four wickets while Rahil Singh took two. Later, chasing the target, Chairman XI Reds fell short of two runs to match the opponent total when they lost all their wickets for 186 runs. Young Ian Dev Singh was highest scorer with 47 runs. Irshad bowled extremely good spell from Secretary XI taking away three important wickets. Zahoor Sofi and Umar Alam shared two each.
