| Railway employee sustains burn injuries | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 7:
A young woman, an employee of Railways, sustained critical burn injuries in a fire incident under mysterious circumstances here this morning at her residence in Railway Colony.
According to police sources, the victim identified as Bimla Devi, 35, wife of Om Prakash of Railway Colony West received 95 percent burn injuries after an incidental fire broke out due to bursting of stove in her government accommodation at Railway colony here this morning.
The woman was preparing food when the unfortunate incident occurred, they added.
The incident took place in the west colony flat of railways, sources said adding the entire room was gutted in the fire. The stove had burst and its parts were found scattered all around. The windows were also burnt and the door ripped off.
Wounded severally, the victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for treatment.
Police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated.
Meanwhile, the treatment of injured was in progress till last reports poured in.
