JAMMU, Aug 7:
Evacuees Property Tenants Welfare Society (EPTWS) has demanded ownership rights and winding up of the evacuees department as thousands of employees are doing nothing and are only a burden.
Addressing a press conference here today, EPTWS president Inder Mohinder Tar
Singh said that the Evacuees Department employees should be adjusted in other departments so that their services are utilized in proper manner.
On the occasion, Tar highlighted the grievances and the just demands of the tenants of Custodian Department.
He assured the tenants that office bearers of the society will never let them down and leave no stone unturned to get the just demands fulfilled adding that high handedness of Custodian Department shall not be tolerated anymore.
Tar urged the Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister
Raman Bhalla to withdraw the Record note No. Rev /EP /18/2010 dated 19.07.2010 issued by his department immediately as on the basis of same Custodian Department has already started penalizing the helpless tenants. We out rightly reject this record note and appeal the tenants in general that the need of the hour is to stand firmly and unitedly against the atrocities of the department and refuse to accept the norms mentioned in the aforesaid record note.
