BJP to intensify campaign against corruption, black money price rise | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 7: Under party's state wide month long awareness campaign against corruption, black money and price rise, District Jammu unit of BJP under its president Rajesh Gupta, organised a public meeting at Jammu. Party National General Secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda, who was the main speaker on the occasion, said that the party at the national level has decided reach each and every nook and corner of the country to expose Congress-led UPA over the issues of corruption, black money and price rise. “UPA has become den of corruption. We have been continuously raising voice against corruption and it is due to our efforts that a number of UPA minister and bureaucrats are in jails now,” added Nada. Citing a few major scandals, he said that Congress led UPA has become the mother of all scandals and the time has come when it should be taught a lesson. He blamed the UPA for rise in the prices which have made the survival of a common citizen difficult and added that there was no price rise during BJP-led NDA rule because we were committed for the welfare and survival of a common Indian citizen instead of the benefit of a handful of big business houses and capitalists. He further said that crores of rupees have been deposited in foreign banks and UPA is least bothered in bringing this money back. If this money is brought back, the poverty can be brought down to a great extent but unfortunately this is not possible till Congress and its allies are in the power as they all lack will and commitment for the same. He appealed the party activists to reach the masses and educate them about these issues. BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, in his address, said that after independence about two lakh crore rupees have been poured into the state from centre and had this been spent honestly, our state would have been the "Golden Sparrow" in reality. He declared that the party in the state will prepare a detailed report of corruption cases and release one hundred such cases on November 15 this year to expose corrupt elements in the state. BJP National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the UPA has set new records in corruption, misuse of power, murder of democracy. He alleged that security related funds are being embezzled and the huge amounts are going into the pockets of ministers and bureaucrats. Cases of impersonation after being exposed have been handed over to CBI but unfortunately CBI has become tool into the hands of UPA and there has been no progress into the investigations, he alleged.
