Kashmiri Vahini presents memorandum to Guv | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 8: A delegation of Kashmiri Vahini called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan here today and presented to him memorandum of demands. The demands presented by the 5-member delegation of Kashmiri Vahini, led by Dr. Khema Koul, National Spokesperson of the Organisation, included, interalia, speedy implementation of the Prime Minister’s Special Employment Package for Kashmiri migrant youth and urgent rectification of the difficulties faced by those who have already been appointed; enhancement of cash relief to the migrants; protection and propagation of Sharda script; facilitation of visits of devotees from Jammu and Kashmir to the Sharda Mata Temple located in POK; and urgent measures for the protection and conservation of Hindu religious temples and shrines in the Kashmir Valley. Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation, which comprised S. K. Khaibri, Sudesha Koul, Vijaya Sapru and Sushma Rishi, functionaries of the Kashmiri Vahini. Madhav Lal, Chief Secretary, R. K. Goyal, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Vinod Koul, Relief Commissioner, participated in the discussions.
