| CB presents challan for opening a fictitious bank account | | | JAMMU NOV-30 Crime Branch Jammu today presented a challan in the court of CJM Jammu against four persons including the son of a former Minister for fraudulently opening a fictitious and forged bank account of a woman in Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Giving details, the SSP Crime and Railways Sunil Sharma said that Smt Kusam Sharma wife of Kamal Parmod Sharma of Shastri Nagar lodged a written complaint with the Crime Branch alleging therein that one Om Prakash Bali resident of Channi Himat opened a fictitious and forged account of the complainant in Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Branch Chowk Chabutra after hatching a conspiracy with the Bank Manager. It was further alleged that one Raj Kumar son of Rattan Lal appeared himself in the said bank and introduced the account opening form fraudulently and thereafter Om Prakash Bali obtained a cheque book and issued a cheque of Rs. one lakh and later on filed a complaint in the court of law .He said the matter was first enquired into and a formal case was registered under FIR NO50/2004 under section 419/420/467/468/471/120-B RPC in Crime Branch Jammu against four accused namely Om Prakash Bali son of late Bodh Raaj Bali former Minister, Bharat Bushan Kullar son of Vishwa Mittar Kullar of Mohalla Afghan, Raj Kumar son of Rattan Lal of Pacca Danga and Mrigh Lochani daughter of Madan Lal Suri of Mastgarh . The SSP further said that during the course of investigation Investigating Officer collected and seized the record pertaining to the case and recorded statements of prosecution witnesses .The Forensic Science Laboratory proved offences against the alleged accused persons. He said that during investigation it transpired that accused Om Prakash Bali and Bharat Bhushan Kullar, a private employee of Bali, hatched a criminal conspiracy with Bank Manager Smt Mirgh Lochani and Raj Kumar and got the account opened fraudulently in the name of the complainant and issued a cheque amounting to Rs.one lakh on the name of Om Prakash Bali. The challan against the accused has been accordingly presented in the court of law for judicial determination, the SSP added.
