| GoI should formulate National Pay Policy: NMC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Stressing on formulating a National Pay Policy, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today said any pay commission set up by the Government of India in future should cover both central and state government employees."GoI should formulate a National Pay Policy. Any pay commission set up by GoI in future should cover both central and state government employees so that its recommendations are implemented simultaneously through out the country to avoid any heart burning or agitation in any state", NMC President Subash Shastri said addressing a rally here.Shastri said that he would also take up this issue with the central leaderships during his visit to New Delhi.He announced that a high power delegation of heads of various like-minded trade unions will leave for New Delhi on August 27 to urge the Prime Minister and other central leaders for providing a special package of Rs 5,000 crore to Jammu and Kashmir towards payment of sixth pay commission arrears and allied benefits to the employees and pensioners.Shastri said that the delegation will also call on the Union Home Minister and request for declaring Jammu and Srinagar as B-1 cities.He hoped that all the genuine demands of the salaried class would be addressed appropriately in a time bound manner.
