| Monitor Anganwari centres: AC | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 8: Committee on Assurances of Legislative Assembly on Monday asked Social Welfare department to fulfill all assurances of 16th report pertaining to it’s a time bound manner.
The Committee, which met here under the Chairmanship of Nazir Ahmad Gurezi with its members Mir Zahoor Ahmad and Peer Aafaq Ahmad dropped some assurances related to the department. The meeting discussed threadbare the achievements registered under various welfare schemes run by the department.
Committee directed the Programme Officers (POs) to conduct frequent inspection of Anganwari Centres (AWCs) in their respective jurisdictions. Committee suggested for rationalization of AWCs. It directed the concerned to implement the G.O.I guidelines in letter and spirit while establishing AWCs and engaging of helpers and AWworkers.
Commissioner/Secretary, SW Jeet Lal Gupta, Director SW, Kashmir, Director SW Jammu, senior concerned officers of Assembly Secretariat and all POs of Kashmir division attended the meeting.
