| 3 consume poison; 1 dead, 2 serious | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 08: In unconnected incidents, a woman died while two others became serious after consuming poison at their respective residences here today.
Police said Reha, wife of Jyoti Basu of Trikuta Nagar, who was admitted by her family to the GMC hospital here Sunday after she swallowed poison, died today.
After post-mortem, the body was handed over to her family for last rites.
In other incidents, Sakshi Gupta, daughter of Sham Lal of Nai Basti, and Wasim, son of Mohammad Bashir of Painthal, Katra, also consumed poison at their residences.
Both of them were admitted to the GMC hospital.
Police had registered cases in this connection.
