| Health campaign near LoC | | | JAMMU NOV-30 To reach out to the remotest areas along the Line of Control and to provide them the much needed succour including free medical check, the Army continued its campaign of ‘Operation Sadbhavana on Wheeles’ in the areas between Beripattan and Nowshera today. The Army doctors and veterinarians provided free medical, dental and veterinary check up to the people at their door- steps. In all 274 men, 174women and 85 children were attended to and provided medical treatment and support while Veterinary camp provided treatment and medicines to 284 animals and seriously sick animals were treated in situ in respective villages. On this occasion the Army authorities interacted with the senior citizens, ex-servicemen and village defence committee members and enquired about the difficulties being faced by them. To inspire the children, motivational films on patriotism and knowledge of education were screened besides a film on HIV/AIDS. Free books, education CDs, encyclopedia, cricket kits and other playing material were also distributed among the local schools at Seri and Ding besides presenting awards to the winners of the painting competition.
