| Ensure supply of essential commodities in far-flung areas: Kousar | | | Jammu, Nov 30 Mumtaz Kousar, Zonal President, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mahore Thursday urged the state government to ensure supply of essential commodities in far-flung areas of the state in view of the ensuing winter season. In a statement, Kousar while addressing series of public meetings at Angrala, Sungri, Chasma, Majara Kund, Dabotal in Gulab Garh assembly segment alleged that people in these areas were facing acute shortage of essential commodities and urged the government to built up buffer stocks in these areas before the on-set of winter. She also demanded construction of roads in Gulab Garh assembly segment and sought the construction of Angrala-Gulabgarh, Tuli Bana-Narloo roads under the Prime Minister’s Bharat Nirman scheme. Kousar stressed for immediate restoration of power supply to Tuksan Lar, Shidol, Barnshal, Gulabgarh, Dewan, Shibras and other un-electrified areas of Gulab Garh. Elaborating the achievements made during tenure of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Kousar said that drastic steps were taken for speedy development of the state. She said that during Mufti’s tenure officers were directed to adhere to the principles of accountability and transparency. While briefing about the “self-rule” concept, Kousar said that Self-rule is the ultimate solution to Kashmir tangle.
