Mega Lok-Adalat week | Lok Adalats held across Jammu | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, August-09 (JNF):- Today on second day of Mega Lok-Adalat week being held at different districts of Jammu a Lok-Adalat held in the District Court Complex Janipur Jammu under the chairmanship of AK Shan Chairman District Legal Service Authority. Two benches were constituted, the first Bench headed by Sandeep Kour Forest Magistrate Jammu assisted by Renu Dogra 2nd Additional Munsiff Jammu and Jatinder Singh Advocate.
This Bench took 11 cases of petty criminal and civil matters and out of which 7 were settled. The second bench headed by Sanjay Dhar Presiding Officer MACT Jammu assisted by Sanjay Parihar 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu and Adv Pawan Manni, this Bench took 18 MACT cases and settled 9 cases, compensation of Rs 25, 40, 000/- was realized on spot.
In the Udhampur Court, the second day of the Mega Lok Adalat was held under the Chairmanship Mr. Brij Mohan Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur who is also a Chairman District Legal Service Authority Udhampur, today two benches were constituted to deal and settle the cases referred to Mega Lok Adalat by different Courts of Udhampur. First Bench comprising Mr. Brij Mohan Gupta Principal District & Sessions Judge Udhampur and Mr. MK Sharma CJM Udhampur was constituted to deal with MACT Cases. Second Bench comprising of Mr. Anoop Munsiff Udhampur and Adv PK Jandial was constituted to deal with civil and criminal cases. Today 18 cases were taken up in the Mega Lok-Adalat out of which 8 cases were settled, an amount of Rs 7, 28, 000 was given compensation in MACT cases.
In the Reasi Court, the second day of Mega Lok-Adalat Week, Two Benches were constituted, the First Bench preside over by Mr. Rajesh Sekri Principal Sessions Judge Reasi assisted by CJM OP Thakur and Adv MS Mir, Second Bench was presided over by Ms Sudesh Sharma Munsiff Reasi assisted by Advocates Sonali and Rekha Attri. 10 cases were taken up out of which two pre-litigation and two post litigation cases were decided, an amount of Rs 62000/- was passed in pre-litigation cases.
