Doda Aug 9: Congress Seva Dal unit Doda district today like other parts of the state today celebrated Karnti Diwas at block Assar with great zeal zest and gusto in which dozens of the workers paid rich tribute to martyrs who laid down their lives for the Independence of the India from the clutches of the British Government
The simple but impressive function held under the chairmanship of its Chief Organiser Surinder Singh Manhas who threw light on the principals and contribution of martyrs for the Independence of the country and said we never forget their great sacrifice .
He urged upon the people to be united under one banner of brotherhood and follow the path shown by the martyrs.
All participants also garland the picture of the father of the nation and sweets and drinks were also served among each others .Those who spoke on the occasion included Arshad Ahmed ,Rangel Singh ,Rattan Kumar ,Bashir Ahmed ,Parbhat Singh,Kuldeep Kumar ,Farooq Khan ,DeepKumar ,Satyia Devi ,Raj Kumar ,Irshad Mantoo Haiduttal Sheikh ,Bilal Ahmed and others .
