Kathua residents resent harm from wandering animals | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Aug 9: The people of the Kathua held a massive protest demonstration against the DC Zahidha Khan and Municipal Kathua for remaining negligent to make effective control over the wandering animals due to which Amrik Singh s/o Hira Singh r/o ward no. 8 Kathua got seriously injured and was referred Ludhiana Hospital where the doctors further declared the injured in comma. The resenting people took out a mass procession and lodged a protest demonstration under the leadership of state secretary of JK Pradesh Congress party S. Manohar Singh who alleged the Municipal council and DC Kathua for causing the unnecessary harassment and disturbance to the common man of the town by adopting the irresponsible and nonserious approaches to towards the people’s facilities and taking them away from the responsibilities of providing the better service to the Kathua people. He said that incidence came to happen in the newly constructed bridge when Amrik Singh was crossing the bridge where on spot a squabble started between two wandering ox and was caught in between which caused him serious external and internal injuries after which he was taken to district Kathua hospital where he was referred to GMC Jammu and from where further he was referred to Ludhiana Hospital where the doctors declared him in “comma”. He said that the administration is totally responsible to carry such incidence and it was possible because the municipal council is not properly functioning and providing the services to the people. He said that the administration should give the compensation to the Amrik Singh at least two lacks rupees. The police must lodge a FIR against the DC and municipal Kathua. In the protest Paramjeet Singh, Vishu Andotra, Maninder Singh, Raju Andotra, Charanjeet Singh, Bablu and other were present.
