3 SPOs, TA jawan missing | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Aug 9 (KNS): Three special police officers and a Territorial Army have gone missing alogwith service rifles in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, sources said. SPOs Gul Mohammad Rahi (Belt No 216/SPO) and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din (Belt No 425/SPO), posted as SPOs in Kulgam, went missing from the district police lines along with two AK 47 service rifles last night. A suspended SPO Bashir Ahmad Bhat has also entered the SOG camp last evening and fled with a rifle. In a separate incident a former militant turned Territorial Army personnel, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat alias Tiger also fled from his camp alongwith his service rifle in the same district, police sources said. SHO police station Kulgam Mohammad Yosuf Mir told KNS that two SPOs have fled away with weapons. “An FIR under section 380, 409 has been lodged against the culprits and search operation has been launched,” he said.
