| SPIC MACAY organizes lecture demonstration by renowned artists | | |

Renowned classical vocalists Pt. Rajan and Sajan Mishra of Banarass Gharana mesmerized the audience with their soul rendition in the Lecture-demonstration organized by University of Jammu in association with SPIC MACAY here today.
Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Vice-Chancellor, JU and Chairman of the society presided over the function with the lighting of Ceremonial lamp by guests. Pt. Rajan and Sajan Mishra accompanied by Avinash Sharma on Harmonium while Sukhmani Benerjee on Tabla. They made the remarkable performance in their vocal lesson not only in India but also in Germany, USA, UK, Switzerland, Austria, USSR, Singapora and many other countries. They also received many honorary awards like Sangeet Natak Academy Award, Sanskrit Award, Sangeet Ratna, Sangeet Bhushan, Kumar Gandharva Award, Kashi Gaurav, etc.
They enthralled the audiences with Raag Durga and Raag Bhim Plass and received big applause on AB TO BHARI DHER WAI, KUCH KARM KARO ………
Earlier, P.S. Pathania DSW delivered the welcome address and listed the forthcoming activities of the SPIC MACAY. Dr. Vishav Raksha highlighted the career of renowned artists. Shohab Inayat Malik gave vote of thanks. The proceeding was conducted by Amita Malhotra (Cultural Secretary).
