Demands unfulfilled, JKPF warns to go on hunger strike again | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 9: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Front (JKPF) has warned to resume its indefinite hunger strike, which was suspended on June 22 last on the assurance of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu. Addressing a press conference here today, the office bearers of JKPF said that the demands put forth have remained unfulfilled till date. Now, they have left with no other option but to go on hunger strike for the fulfilment of their various demands. They demanded regularization of J&K Home Guard on the pattern of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Bihar state Home Guards. JKPF also demanded for providing job to unemployed engineers (both degree and diploma holders) as per the scheme applied to Rehber-e- Zirat. (iii) Providing job to ITI Electrical Unemployed persons vixz a viz the pending demands of POK refugees be solved as per the Memorandum already submitted to the Government.
