| Rain, thundershowers in Kashmir division | | Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2011 | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 10: As per the Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for 11th to 15th August: there is a possibility of light rain/thundershower on 11th and 14th August and light to moderate rain/thundershower on 13thAugust, and the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy on 12th and 15th August, 2011, in the Kashmir Division.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board R. K. Goyal has once again advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on pilgrimage. Details of weather forecast are available on website of Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in).
CEO urged all intending pilgrims to have them medically examined and no one with an orthopedic problem, chest or lung ailment or any cardiac deficiency should venture to undertake the arduous Yatra, involving trekking upto 14,000 feet. Meanwhile, Yatra to Holy Cave Shrine has been progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
