| Youth congress office bearers accorded rousing reception | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 10: Newly appointed President of District Youth Congress Committee (DYCC) Jammu Urban Rajveer Singh Manhas were accorded rousing reception at Pradesh Youth Congress headquarters here today by senior leaders of the party and large number of youth Congress workers.
Rajveer Singh Manhas, who has been selected as president of DYC Jammu Urban after a talent search campaign by AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, is a former NSUI Jammu University President. He (Rajveer) was taken into a rally by the youth Congress workers which started from Jammu University and calumniated at PCC headquarter Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu.
Rajveer was profusely garlanded by party leaders and activists of youth congress, NSUI, INTUC and Mahila wing on their arrival at Shaheedi Chowk amidst raising of slogans in favour of Youth Congress. He was also accompanied by J&K PYC President Shaoib Nabi Lone and Dr. Mir Adil Farooq, Dr. Harbaksh Singh Shanty, Pranav Shogotra (all General Secretaries J&K PYC).
Rajveer Singh in his address described youth Congress and other frontal organizations as the backbone of the Congress party and asked the youth to work unitedly and in co-ordination with the parent party to carry forward policies and programmes of Congress party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
