JKPYC seeks infrastructural facilities for Kailash Kund yatra | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress has sought proper infrastructural facilities for Yatra to Kailash Kund, abode of Nagraj Vasuki, from Dudu (a village of Ramnagar Tehsil) which has been restarted after a period of 18 years. In a handout issued here today, JKPYC vice-president R. S. Pathania has stated that Youth Congress unit of Ramnagar took the bold initiative and got the Yatra re-started. Pathania made a strong case for starting of chopper service from Dudu to Kailash too. He said that state-of-art helipad is ready at Dudu. Pathania has demanded carving out of a Pucca pathway around the Kailash Kund and erecting of make-shift shelters mid-way from Dudu to Kailash. He also demanded provision of oxygen cylinders in the medical camps as many pilgrims face breathing problems at such a high altitude of 14500 feet. He also sought greater provision of night-tents with proper bedding-facility at Seoj Dhar and Kailash Kund so that the Yatris could properly repose and retire during their night-stays at both the locations. Also langar, medicare and drinking water facilities should be started in between Dudu and Seoj Dhar. And in the long term he has sought connecting of Dudu to Bhaderwah via Kailash via a permanent road which shall serve as a viable tourist link between people of two distinct areas.
