| Free Veterinary medical camp organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 10: A free Veterinary medical camp was organized by Sewa II Power Station, NHPC Ltd. at Hutt Tehsil Basohli District Kathua, the first of its kind in the area under Corporate Social Responsibility.
V K Rattan, General Manager of Sewa II Power Station NHPC Ltd graced the occasion and inaugurated the camp. Shri Rattan, General Manager in his speech emphasized the welfare activities undertaken by NHPC Ltd under C.S.R. for the benefit local inhabitants.
He announced the scholarship to be awarded to poor meritorious students by Sewa II Power station, NHPC Ltd. A team of
Veterinary doctors from Animal Husbandry department of J & K state of Bashauli and Bani examined and treated about 90 cases of various ailments of cattle, sheep, dogs and horses. Medicines were distributed absolutely free of cost. Cost of medicines was borne by NHPC Ltd. A good number of poor villagers having livestock from Hutt, Mashka and Pepri areas were benefited by the Veterinary medical camp. The response from public was overwhelming as access to professional service had been very limited in the area particularly in the field of animal care. John A.U. Beck, Sr. Manager (HR) & Dr. Pulak Taraphdar D.C.M.O NHPC Ltd thanked Animal Husbandry Department of J & K State, local panchayat and villagers of Hutt, Mashka area for their active participation in the camp and making it a huge success.
