Despite Court’s order, govt fails to release medical aid | No response yet from CM’s grievance cell for delay | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 10: Gravely shocking and surprising to note that subordinate officials of Chief Minister do not obey his directions by giving one or the other lame excuse and are clearly violating his orders. Recently a complaint was filed in Chief Minister’s grievance redressal cell vide no 24046 regarding implementation of directions from the High Court, in which the Court has directed the state government to release medical expenses in favour of Ashok Koul for treatment of his son Vipul Koul, a government employee of Stores Procurement Department, Jammu after conducting the medical examination of patient. Addressing a press conference here today, Ashok Koul father of Vipul provided information regrading the careless attitude of the CM’s secretariat to the media persons. Koul said that recently Medical Board of Government Medical College, Jammu vide its no GMC/PS/MBC-309/2556 dated: 20.7.2011 had intimated the government that the patient is suffering from life consuming disease adding that hence the directions of court are becoming mandatory for the government, but instead of releasing the required amount the Finance Department sent the case to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund committee which is clear violation of rules as only such cases are dealt there which are not concerned to government employees. Father of the patient contended that Chief Minister’s Relief Fund deals only in such cases where an applicant other than the government employee can not bear medical expenses at his own due to poor economic condition. Hapless parents of Vipul asked the government, "Do we bring order from apex court of Pakistan". The disgruntled father has given 7 days time to government to settle the case, if not they will go for contempt of court orders on the risk, responsibility and cost of government. “We have committed a crime of being an Indian but we are proud for committing such a crime,” said the dejected parents.
