JAMMU, Aug 10: Mega Lok Adalat awarded Rs. 41. 30 lakh compensation and settled 19 MACT cases on the third day of Mega Lok Adalat Week today organized at District Court Complex Janipur, Jammu under the Chairmanship of Principal District & Sessions Judge Jammu, A. K. Shan,
Comprising of two benches, the first bench, headed by Presiding Officer MACT, Jammu, Mr Sanjay Dhar assisted by 3rd Additional Session Judge Jammu, Sanjay Parihar and Advocate, Pawan Maini, took up 51 MACT cases out of which 19 cases were settled , besides awarding an amount of Rs. 41.30 lakh as compensation.
In the second bench, headed by forest Magistrate, Jammu, Sandeep Kaur assisted by 2nd Additional Munsiff, Jammu, Renu Dogra and Advocate Jatinder Singh, out of 72 cases taken up under NI Act 70 were settled, while one each civil and one criminal cases were compounded.
