| Lok Adalat settles 22 cases | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 10: A mega Lok Adalat was held under the Chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority Poonch, Kishore Kumar, who is also Principal District & Sessions Judge Poonch, here today.
Other benches including Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rayaz Ul Haq Mirza and District Mobile Magistrate Traffic, Muzzafer Iqbal Khan assisted the proceeding.
As many as, 54 cases of criminal, civil and matrimonial nature were taken up for hearing, of which, 22 were settled through negotiation, reconciliation and mutual understanding of litigant parties.
On the occasion, Chairman District Legal Services Authority and other benches also held an awareness camp where in they acquainted public in general and litigants regarding concept of holding Lok Adalats in detail.
Member of Bar Association Poonch, prosecution wing and litigant parties besides prominent citizens of the town participated in the Lok Adalat. |
