Kishtwar August 9:-State estimates committee under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble MLA Inderwal G M Saroori its members including MLA Darhal Mr. Zulfkar Hussain, MLA Ramban Mr. Ashok Kumar, MLC Advocate Naresh Gupta, MLC Mr. Subash Gupta took an extensive tour of Distt. Kishtwar and inspected the pace of various roads projects including District Complex and Hospital Building of Distt. Hospital Kishtwar. He also inspected the Model village where the peoples of the area alleged that Crores of rupees has been spent for the construction of Model villages Huller but on ground only few Lacs has been spend which needs immediate probe through some honest Officer. On the instance of the public complaints, Chairman and its members ordered probe into the alledged embezzlements in model villages Hullar and Tatani through ADC Kishtwar G N Balwan, who had been directed to submit the report with two weeks time.
The estimate committee also convened a meeting of all Distt. & Tehsil Level Officers where Commissioner Secretary Works, Chief Engineer, R&B, Director Tourism and Dy. Director of other Departments were also present. The Committee takes some important decision on spot regarding the construction of some link roads which were sanctioned and more than sixty percent work was completed and directed the R & B authorities to complete all these projects which has been started without any further delay. These roads includes Huller-Hunajala Link Road, Sarkoot Pochaal link road, the committee personally visited these roads and assured the public at site that within shortest possible time period all these roads will be completed, so that people may not suffer. They also directed the authority to immediately construct a part at Zairat Sharief Kishtwar.
Saroori while reviving the progress of various developmental various shows his concern over slow progress in utilization of funds for various developmental works as already 5 months time period out of the working season have already finished. He urged upon the concerned officers to expedite the developmental works in this downtrodden area of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He shows his great concern towards the worst conditions of roads, shortage of staff in hospitals, transfer of ISM Doctors, shortage of drinking water, non function of Anganwari center and distribution of ration. He directed the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to expedite the land acquisition case on fast track so that the developmental works in term of PMGSY and NABARD could be completed on time. He said that Kishtwar has witnessed drought this year as well and further directed the DC Kishtwar to prepare the drought report of the area, so that same could be submitted to the government for favorable action He directed the DC Kishtwar to outsource the newly constructed TRC building at Kishtwar so that some revenue could be generated, which could be utilized for other developmental workers in tourism sector.
