Veterinary camp organised by NHPC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 10: A free veterinary medical camp was organized by Sewa II power station at village Hutt in Basohli tehsil. The first of its kind in the area under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) started by NHPC, for the benefit of the people saw participation of number of people from surrounding villages. General Manager of Sewa II power station V. K. Rattan inaugurated the camp and interacted with the people. Speaking on the occasion, Rattan emphasized the welfare activities undertaken by NHPC under CSR programme for the benefit of rural population. He announced that scholarships will be given to poor meritorious students by Sewa II Power station, so that they can continue their studies. During the camp, a team of veterinary doctors from animal husbandry department from Basoli and Bani examined and treated about 90 cases of various ailments of cattle, sheep, dogs and horses. Medicines were also distributed free of cost to the owners of the animals. Number of people from Mashka, Pepri and other areas visited the camp. John A.U. Beck, senior manager (HR) and Dr. Pulak Taraphdar DCMO NHPC Ltd thanked Animal Husbandry Department, local panchayat and villagers of Hutt and Mashka area for their active participation in the camp and making it a huge success.
