| Man jumps into Tawi river, dies | | | JAMMU, Aug 11: A man today committed suicide by jumping into Tawi river from the Bikram Chowk bridge here.
He was identified as Rajesh Kumar (45), son of Ganesh Dass of Hiranagar, Kathua.
Quoting eyewitnesses, police said he jumped into the river from the bridge in the morning. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Nawabad police station.
While the matter was brought to the notice of Nawabad police by some people at about 8 am, cops reached the spot at about 10 am.
Police later removed the body to the GMC hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
