Rain/thundershowers likely during next 3 days | Amarnath Yatra-2011 | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 11: As per meteorological department’s weather forecast for 12th to 16th August: there is a possibility of generally cloudy sky with light rain/thundershowers on 12th – 13th August and generally cloudy sky with rain/thundershowers on 14th August. Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) R. K. Goyal has once again advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on the Pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website of the Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in). CEO urged all intending pilgrims to have them medically examined and no one with an orthopedic problem, chest or lung ailment or any cardiac deficiency should venture to undertake the arduous Yatra, involving trekking upto 14,000 feet. Meanwhile, the Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine has been progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
