Villagers allege absenteeism, lock dispensary in Ramngarh
8/11/2011 10:06:42 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Aug 11: Contrary to tall claims of the state government for ensuring better work culture and good governance in government departments, however, the Assar block in Doda district tells another story as almost all offices here are non-functional and the employees most of the times remain absent.
Such non-serious attitude of the employees came to lime light when villagers of Ramgarh Baggar today locked the government dispensary because according to them all employees always remain absent for months.
Shouting slogans against the health department authorities, the villagers led by a local social worker Rehmat Ali Salaria locked the dispensary this afternoon.
Salaria alleged that from the last so many months the staff is not attending the work due to which the innocent patients are suffering a lot.
He further said that many a time we bring the absenteeism of the employees to the notice of higher ups but all in vain.
“We had left with no option but to lock the dispensary so that the authorities could be awakened.
