| AJKLTF holds conference, raises various demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 11: One day educational conference of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) held here today.
The conference was organised under the chairmanship of Bhushan S Verma president and Maheshwar Parshad Convenor to work out the measures to raise the standard of education.
The conference passed several resolutions including city to city transfer, primary education, under staffed schools etc.
The members said that AJKLTF is deeply concerned with the city to city transfers of teachers and lecturers. It will discourage the teachers and lecturers working out skirts further lowering the standard of education. The AJKLTF does not know the criteria and transfer norms involved in these transfers.
They demanded sanctioning of new posts and staff may be provided in all schools which are under staffed for last some years.
On the occasion, the election of provincial body of AJKLTF was also held.
Pardeep Kumar was elected as Provincial President while Mohan Singh, Romesh Kumar, Shashi Pal, Mohd Qasim were made Provincial Vice Presidents and Kulbhushan Kumar was appointed as General Secretary.
