| Help us to prevail peace in Kashmir: Army | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Anantnag, August, 11: While greeting people of Jammu and Kashmir on the coming Independence day, GOC Victor Force Maj. General Gurdeep Singh appealed people of Valley to help the Army in ongoing peace process.
“On the coming Independence day, my wishes and blessing are with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and I appeal the people of Jammu and Kashmir in general and people of valley in Particular to help us in prevailing peace in valley.” GOC said media men on the sidelines of a function.
Addressing a large gathering of students, parents and other civil dignitaries of Qazigund and adjacent areas at Army Good Will School Wazur Qazigund, run by 36 RR under the ageis of Sector 2, who on Thursday celebrated their school annual day, GOC Victor Force , Maj. Gen. Gurdeep Singh underlined the importance of education and stressed upon the teacher’s and student’s of the school to enrich themselves with the sprit of education and play their role in bringing peace and prosperity in the valley.
He on the occasion distributed a number of attractive prizes to the students who performed best during the academic year, both in academic and co-curricular activities.
Students of the school presented different cultural programs that got overwhelming response from the audiences.
In the mean time GOC Victor Force distributed appreciation cards among 6 persons including a valley based journalist, for helping Army in anti-militants policies.
