| Lok Adalat caps long-pending problems through mediation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Aug 11: In a major initiative to cut down judicial backlog, on the directions of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Legal Services Committee, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Majalta , organized a Lok Adalat at the Munsiff Court complex , Udhampur, today .
The Lok Adalat was organized under the chairmanship of Munsiff Simran Preet Kour who is also Chairman of Tehsil Legal Service committee Majalta . Bar President Advocate Susheel Sharma and Secy Advocate Mohan Lal also present .
In the Lok Adalat 8 cases taken up out of which 2 cases were settled. Lok Adalat witnessed a cheering response from litigants, who came forward to settle their long-pending disputes, escaping the ruinous cost of litigation and technical procedures
