Tiny Scholars School organises Rakhi making competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 11: A Rakhi making competition on the eve of Raksha Bandhan was organized by Tiny Scholars High School. Principal Manisha Gupta was present on the occasion as president. Celebration was started by lighting of traditional lamp and worshiping of Mata Saraswati. Students from class Ist to 9th participated in the function. They were divided in two groups. A total of 230 students participated in the competition. Students made different types of Rakhi with the waste materials. All the Rakhis made by the students were very attractive and took the attention and praise of all the visitors. From the junior wing, Ishika Sharma bag the first position, Vishav Rana stood 2nd and 3rd position was saved by Monark Gupta, Harsh Vasu and Sakshi. Diksha , Pranav and Achhan Sharma got consolation prizes. From the senior group, Vaibhav Sharma of 8th standard got first position, 2nd position was shared by Kanisha Mahajan and Manoj Kumar, Rohan Sambyal got 3rd position. Consolation prizes were given to Nikhil Sambyal, Sanjeev Kumar and Ankush. Tiny students of Nursery wing of Tiny Scholars High School, Bachpan also tied Rakhis on each others wrists depicting the peace, love and affection as the motive of Raksha Bandhan. Speaking on the occasion Principal/Administrator of Tiny Scholars High School Manisha Gupta said that the festival of Raksha Bandhan is of utmost importance in our culture and by celebrating the function with small children, we impart cultural values of our traditions to young ones.
