| Guv unveils souvenir booklet on Amarnath, Buda Amarnath Yatras | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 11: The first publication Souvenir Booklet on Shri Amarnath Yatra and Baba Buda Amarnath Yatra was unveiled by Governor NN Vohra in an impressive function held here today at Zayeshtha Mata Mandir premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Vohra informed the gathering about the difficulties Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) is facing regarding the conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.
He said that 107 devotees of Baba Amarnath Yatra have died during the 2011 Amarnath Yatra and it is very important to make people aware about it and the precautions to be taken in the coming years especially the pilgrims coming from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, as most of the persons those who have died during these Yatra have come from these states.
Prominent among others those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Ramakant Dubey, President VHP J&K State, RK Goyal, CEO SASB and Principal Secretary to Governor, Subash Chander, Secretary BABA Yatri Niyas, Delhi, Atul Gupta Rep. of BABA Yatri Niyas from Delhi.
