| Civil Defense organizes debate competition | | |
JAMMU | NOV 30
Civil Defense today organised a inter college debate competition in connection with program on week long annual day celebration at its control room over the issue “Role of Civil Defence as a community policing”. IG Home guards and Civil Defense, Navin Aggarwal (IPS) was the chief guest on the occasion.
In this competition, Manik Arora of SPMR Commerce College securted first position whereas Anchal Sharma and Shikha Sharma from Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar bagged second and third prizes respectively.
Other prominent persons who were present on the occasion were Chief Warden Jugal Mahajan, Deputy Chief Warden Param Jeet, Divisional Warden Bansi Lal Gupta, Kanta Bhan. Other Divisional and Deputy Chief Wardens were also present on the occasion.
According to a press write up issued by the Civil Defense, a volunteer rally would be organised tomorrow on December first. The rally will start from Gole market and a health centre would also be organised. On the consecutive days the organization is going to organize seminar at the Jammu Club, Sports meet, Riffle Shoot Competition, Chief Warden Conference, Cultural programs etc.
