| Gold chains of 2 women snatched | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 12: The gold chains of two women were snatched by unidentified groups of youth in different city areas here since yesterday.
Police said a pedestrian intercepted one Mangla, wife of Ashok Kumar, near his residence at Indira Vihar, Janipura, and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 50,000.
Though the woman raised an alarm, the accused could not be apprehended by locals.
In the other incident, two motorcycle-borne youth snatched the gold chain from Rashmita Giri at Nanak Nagar.
Cases in this connection were registered at the concerned police stations.
