Jammu, Aug 12: Brain works Playway School celebrated Raksha Bandan and Independence Day in the premises of JK Montessorie senior secondary school, Tirth Nagar Jammu.
The function started with an interactive session between the school children and the teachers in which they discussed about the historic back ground and importance of the Raksha Bandan which strengthen the ties between brothers and sisters.
The girl students tied Rakhis to their classmate brothers.
Afterwards, students were explained about the importance of Independence Day. The Martyrs of freedom struggle were remembered on the occasion for their sacrifice. M.L.Vaid Principal told the students about the importance of freedom and advised them to understand the value of being citizens (people) of an independent nation.
He also advised them that they should join hands to fight and defeat the dividing forces and should take every possible step to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among the people of India, who guarantees opportunity, liberty and justice to all. The management also distributed sweets, tricolor flags and tags among small children of the school.
