| Van driver assaults cop at Batote | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 12: A Maruti van driver last evening allegedly assaulted a selection grade cop (SGC) of police at Batote, about 125 km from here on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
SGC Shafaqat Hussain was on naka duty at Batote when driver of Maruti van (JK02M/0588), Balbir Singh, son of Vijay Singh of Batote, allegedly assaulted him.
A case in this connection was registered at Batote police station.
