BJP vitiating peace, harmony in J&K: Rana | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Nagrota, Aug 12 (KNS): Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana Friday alleged that BJP was making all out efforts to vitiate peace, harmony and secularism in the state with the sole aim of ‘dividing the people of the state on the regional lines to achieve their hidden agenda - trifurcation of the state.’ Rana said BJP has always tried to create fissures in Jammu and Kashmir and their designs are fraught with wide ranging ramifications and this trend ‘if not checked will not only affect Jammu & Kashmir but the whole country.’ He said the state had always suffered because of the divisive politicking of negative elements who occasionally surface and exploit the people and the situations for their personal ends. Rana said National Conference symbolizes the unity and amity between various sections of the society and all the regions of the state and will not allow the fringe elements either in Jammu or in Kashmir to play the regional card. “We will continue our efforts to strengthen the bonds of amity and carry forward the development agenda universally without any consideration of region or religion”, he said adding that the state’s coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is determined to further strengthen this characteristic of the state and strengthen the bonds of love between various sections of the society. Rana said that the National Conference – Congress coalition government was moving ahead with a commitment on the path of economic development and restoration of peace in the state. “The success registered on both political and developmental fronts during the last two and half years of the state coalition government itself vindicates the government’s determination for seeking peace and progressive Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
