Rather inspects disease affected villages in Charar-e-Sharief constituency | | | Early Times Report BUDGAM, Aug 14: Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather accompanied by Director Health Services Kashmir Dr. Saleem ur Rehman, Chief Medical Officer Budgam Dr. Aleem Ud Din, Xen-PHE Chadoora Rafiq Malik, and other concerned officers today conducted a day long visit of the upper Kandi areas of Kanidajan, Darwan Nowgam, Brari Pathri , Challyan areas of Charar i Sharief constituency to take on-spot assessment of the situation arisen due to outbreak of gastro-enteritis in these areas. He inspected various health centres and interacted with the patients admitted and enquired about welfare and medicare facilities available to the patients. Rather directed health authorities to provide adequate medicines and treatment to the patients free of cost adding that an awareness campaign should be launched to educate the people about preventive remedial measures to check spread of water borne diseases. He directed for keeping round the clock ambulance services available for convenience of the patients till the outbreak of the disease is fully brought under control. He directed the PHE authorities to ensure supply of safe drinking water to the people.
