| GGF organizes seminar on ‘Employment Scope for J&K youth’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 14: – The Gandhi Global Family (GGF) today organized a seminar on ‘Employment Scope for J&K youth’ wherein the speakers representing various political, social , trade and commerce organizations, besides government functionaries, academicians, experts and professionals spoke at length on the employment potential sectors.
The function was held at Chamber of Commerce and Industries Office, Rail Head Jammu.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Prof. N. R. Puri, Prof. Zahoor-u-Din, President Jammu Chamber of Commerce and
Industries,Y. V. Sharma, President Bar Association, B. S. Slathia, Secretary, Khadi Village and Industries Board, Ravinder Singh, Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, MP, Janak Raj Gupta, Senior journalist, Sohail Kazmi .
A huge audience of about 500 listened to the views of various speakers who also discussed the subject in the light of the employment policy of Mahatma Gandhi.
The self employment schemes, particularly in the cottage Industry sector, Agriculture and its allied sectors introduced by the government were discussed in detail with reference to the incentives and innovations envisaged in the guidelines.
At the end of the seminar, National Flag was unfurled to mark the Independence Day.
President Gandhi Global Family, S. P. Verma presented the vote of thanks.
A gold medal, citation and Biography of Gandhiji was presented to president Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries Y. V. Sharma for the services rendered by him to promote employment, trade and commerce in the state
