| MOS Power inspects Jakheni Grid Station | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 16: Minister of State for Power Shabir Khan today conducted surprise inspection of 220-KV Grid Station located at Jakheni in the vicinity of Udhampur town, here today.
Minister went around the Grid Station complex and took stock of the functioning of the Station and expressed satisfaction over its working. He enquired from the engineers about the distribution of power and the condition of Transformers and Feeders besides overloading problem.
Executive Engineer, Grid Station, Udhampur, Som Raj Sharma apprised the Minister that this Grid Station is supplying power to Sub stations located at Batote, Chander Kote, Banihal in district Ramban, Khelaini in district Doda, Kishtwar in district Kishtwar, Anantnag in Kashsmir Valley and Sarna in Punjab besides district Udhampur.
Later, Khan also visited Jhajjar-Kotli Grid Station in district Jammu. Minister, after taking stock of functioning of Grid Stations, expressed dissatisfaction over the working of some engineers and asked the Chief Engineer, Systems and Operations to take strict action against the Junior Engineer, Suraj Rakwal working at Khelaini and Rohit Sharma including Shewata Dhar, both Junior Engineers, posted at Jhajjar Kotli Grid Station respectively.
