| YSCC gets best cricket club award on Independence Day | | | Early Times Report
DODA, August 16: With their extra ordinary performance in promoting the sports activities particularly cricket not only in Doda District but in state also, the Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda was given the best cricket club award by the District Administration on the eve of Independence Day 2011 at Doda.
On this occasion Patron Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Manzoor Ahmed Batt received the award along with appreciation certificate from Minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora.
It is important to mention here that Young Star Cricket Club Doda is the only cricket club in J&K who has been named for this prestigious award on Independence Day. However the YSCC is organizing state as well as national level cricket events for the past so many years bringing cricket talent in one platform and also YSCC remained involved in various other social activities like blood donation camp, drug deaddcition camp, educational programmes etc.
Meanwhile Patron YSCC Batt has thanked the DDC Doda for honoring them on this auspicious occasion and hope that YSCC will work up to the satisfaction of people of this region and bring the hidden cricket talent in ground.
