Independence day celebrated with patriotic fervour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 16: The 65th Independence day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm across Jammu region. Several organisations, educational institutions celebrated the day with great pomp and show. Apsra Road Traders Association hoisted tricolor National Flag in the presence of all office bears and worthy members. Flag was hoisted by Vice President Ram Krishan Sharma alongwith office bearers and executive members. Bahujan Samaj Party celebrated the 65th Independence Day with great and tervour. The main function was held at B.S.P head quarter Narwal pain Satwari. T.D Langeh state President unfurled the tricolour flag on the top of main building which was allowed by singing National Anthem by the participants. Garden avenue welfare society celebrated the 65th Independence Day with great enthusiasm in the premises of D.B.N school Talab Tillo Jammu. Pandit Mangat Ram Sharma, Ex Dy Chief Minister and senior congress leader who was the chief guest on the occasion unfurled the national flag on the occasion. Dr. Renu Nanda, Associate Professor and resident of the garden avenue threw light on the importance of Independence Day. Large number of people participated in the function. Many people from far off area participated. On the occasion the Senior Congress Leader Abdul Ghani unfurl the National Flag in the office complex of congress party at Kalakote. On the occasion, he congratulated on the auspicious day and stress that the bond of amity and brotherhood be continued, which is the base of our Independence. Independence Day was celebrated by inmates of S.O.S Balgran and Bal Bharti Public School, Channi Rama, Jammu. National Flag was hoisted by S.K. Sharma, General Manager and S. Mathew, Chief Manager, power Grid Corporation of India. A colourful programme was conducted in B.N. Higher Secondary School Nawabad Sunjwan, Jammu for celebrating the independence day of our country. Abdul Ghani Kholi was Chief Guest, who unfurl the flag and later the students gave salute to chief guest in their March Past. Independence Day was celebrated at Panchayat Halqa Dhan (Jandrah) of Dansal block with great enthusiasm. A colourful function was held under the chairmanship of General Secretary District Congress Committee Jammu (Rural) Th.Pritam Singh Jamwal Sarpanch National flag was unfurled by Singh at Panchayat at Garh Dhan amidst singing of national anthum. Sweets were also distributed on the occasion. 65th Independence day was celebrated with great pomp and show in the premises of Surya Mahashakti Vidya Mandir High School Bantalab, Jammu. Amita Kotwal (M.D) hoisted the tricolor followed by National anthem and heart thrilling Patriotic and other cultural items. While addressing the gathering, Sunil Kotwal (Funder of the school) highlighting the importance of the day and asked the students to show their Patriotism by taking keen interest in studies. Vivek Gupta president Dudhadhari Chowk Shopkeepers Association Hoisted tricolour at Pawan Chowk Shastri Nagar on the auscipous occasion the Flag ceremony on 65th Independence Day. Stationeryand sweets Distributed in the children and peoples. 65th Independence Day was celebrated in Frontier Headquarters, BSF Jammu with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Many functions and events were organized on this auspicious occasion. At 0815 hrs, A K Jain, 1G BSF hoisted the National Flag at BSF Stadium, Paloura in the presence' of officers and Jawans. E.P. Tenants Welfare Society (Regd.) celebrated Independence Day with great fervor and gaiety under the chairmanship of PresidentInder Mohinder Tar Singh. The National tri-color Flag was hoisted by Tar Singh while the members of the society shouted slogans. " Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated the 65th independence Day on 15th August 2011 with great patriotic fervor and gaiety. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak was the Chief Guest, besides, hoisting Tricolor; various cultural items were presented by the student on the occasion.
