| Intra Northern Command basketball tournament held at Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 16: Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor organized Intra Northern Command Basketball Tournament 2011-12 for boys and girls in the school premises which was participated by students of APS Rakhmuthi, APS Nagrota, APS Dhar Road, APS Udhampur and APS Srinagar.
Dy Commander Parmashavaran, HQ 10 Arty Brigade inaugurated the event.
The opening match of the event was in between the participants of Dhar Road Udhampur and Rakhmuthi in which Rakhmuthi team boys won the match.
APS Udhampur girls beat the Srinagar team. In the final match held between APS Nagrota & APS Akhnoor, APS Akhnoor team was declared winner by 26-22. The runner up trophy for the boys Basketball Championship of Northern Command 2011-12 went to APS Nagrota and winner trophy went to APS Akhnoor.
Prizes were given to winner and runner up by Brig AK Verma, Chairman APS Akhnoor. He addressed teams to maintain sportsman spirit during the play.
He appreciated the role of organizers Anubha Singh Rawal, Vimi Jaswal, Pooja and Gurdeep Singh. Vote of thanks was extended by Principal KCS Mehta.
