EJAC to go on three day strike from Sept 6 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 17: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has threatened to go on a three-day strike from September 6 to press for demands for grant of the sixth pay commission arrears, among others. Addressing the media persons EJAC state coordinator Ram Kumar Sharma said that it is unfortunate that state government has adopted candid, arrogant and anti-employee attitude. He further said that EJAC are going on a three-day strike from September 6 in the state to press for the fulfillment of their genuine demands. He maintained that the organization had held symbolic protest demonstrations on July 18 but government failed to fulfill their demands, including grant of 6th pay commission arrears, policy for regularization and enhancement of retirement age by July 17. “We will march towards civil secretariat here and hold massive protest demonstration on July 18. We will go for a strike for two days on August 5 and 6,” said Sharma. Among those who were present on the occasion included Balwan Singh Jamwal, Babu Hussain Malik, Parshotam Sharma, Yash Pal Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Madan Sangral and Abdul Rashid beside others.
