Adbi Kunj holds literary meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 17: On the eve of 65th Independence day celebration, an oldest front ranking multilingual literary organization, Adbi Kunj J&K held a special literary cum cultural function at its literary centre, in the premises of New Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
A large numbers of literary figures, participated from the different parts of the Jammu region.
This was presided over by veteran multilingual literary personality. The founder President of the organization Mr. Sham Talib, while a well known oldest freedom fighter and writer Comrade Muni Lal Puri, was the Chief Guest of the function, whereas the proceeding were conducted by Ved Upal, a prominent singer poet. In his inaugural address president Adbi Kunj J&K Jammu Sham Talib greeted all on the Independence Day.
He also hailed the decision of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for setting up an Urdu Academy in J&K State. While speaking on the occasion, Talib said that by establishing an Urdu Academy in J&K Jammu will flourish.
In the next session Adbi Kunj Jammu also paid rich tributes to veteran social reformer, former President Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy J&K, Late Babu Parmanand former Governor of Haryana and speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly on his 79th Birth anniversary.
The meet also condoled the sad demise of the Hindi Film legendry hero Shammi Kapoor.
