Balwant Thakur joins movement against corruption from Delhi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 17: Balwant Thakur’s Hindi play ‘Bharat Chodo’ is being staged all over India in various languages to support the movement of fight against corruption. Balwant Thakur arrived here today afternoon and held series of meetings with the theatre activists at the campus of Jawahar Lal Nehru University. During the interactions the form of the play and measures to make the presentation more effective were discussed. To make easier and simple for the groups to perform the play in streets and open air Balwant Thakur gave tips to the participating directors. Immediately work on its translation in Bengali, Marathi, Guajarati, and Tamil was started and the play is likely to be performed all over the country in a couple of days. On the occasion Balwant Thakur said that theatre has the immense possibilities to revolutionize the country and in this new revolution his play will play an important role in preparing the masses for the ultimate fight against corruption. Balwant Thakur recently wrote this play ‘Bharat Chodo’ which appeals the public to start yet another struggle to free this country from the menace of corruption. The play portrays the grim situation of the country and warns everyone to wake up and strengthen the positive forces to save the nation otherwise the present slavery will be much more disastrous than any other calamity. The play stresses the need for a much bigger revolution than the struggle of independence to flush out the enemies of the Nation to save its integrity, unity ensuring future security of the generations. The play set at a public function being organized to celebrate Country’s Independence Day where a sequence is being enacted to educate the younger generations about the history of India’s Independence struggle. “It’s the high-time that people of this country prepare for a much bigger revolution to free this Nation from corruption, nepotism, terrorism separatism and communalism. Our country badly requires a much stronger ‘Quit India’ movement against all diseases which are the major threats to our Nation,” said Balwant Thakur.
