Kundal points out irregularities in education department | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, August 17 :Yash Paul Kundal MLA Samba and State General Secretary NPP has alleged large scale irregularities and lapses in the functioning of School education department. He said that established norms and procedures are being violated with impunity in respect of transfers, selections of RETs, releases of funds with no check what so ever from any agency. He castigated the Department for undue harassment of RET applicants whose selection panels have been withheld by the Department for years together with vested interests and ulterior motives. He questioned the non adjustment of masters promoted in September 2010. He said that the education Department needs to explain as to why the promote masters of 2010 were not adjusted despite a lapse of eleven months. He strongly condemned the non-engagement of teaching staff in various defunct and staff deficient schools and large scale attachments existing in the department. Yash Paul Kundal condemned the department for its failure to launch RMSA in the state despite the fact that other states had made substantial progress under the scheme during the last three years. He accused the department for its total failure to register any progress with regard to funds utilization under RMSA which were released three years back. He alleged most hostile discrimination doled out to Jammu region in the releases of funds under infrastructure development of High Schools and alleged that out of 79 schools cleared under the scheme of infrastructure development; only seven schools of Jammu region had been included for coverage.
